website SEO Positive Ranking Factors

SEO Positive Ranking Factors (2 of 4)

Check your website for these positive factors:

9. Stemming and Plurality Evaluation - Terms used on a page or in a query may be considered the same or only related by search engines. If a term is stemmed to its root form (i.e. financing and finance to financing) it could be that anchor text, queries, etc. containing that term would be equivalent and interchangeable.

10. Meta Description Tag - The meta description tag is useful for describing your page accurately to the searchbots. In some cases, the bot may even use this tag as the description of your website. The keyword tag is not used by Google, Yahoo, or MSN bots.

11. High Level Authorship - These are structural signs that a piece of content is of great merit. Although they have nothing to do with ranking.

12. Organization of Document - Text and concepts in certain documents can be taken into account by Google, Yahoo, or MSN bots.

13. Text in ALT/IMG Title Tag - The use of text in alt tags and image tags is figured into the overall text in a document.

14. Paragraph Heading - Paragraph headings, either through tags or simply through formatting may give detailed on-page emphasis to the topic of a page.

15. Variety and percent of Content Changes - Searchbots watch for the amount of content that has changed in a document. For example, cosmetic changes may be ignored. What search engines want to measure is documents that keep up with the times by adding new content.
