2. Select two to four keywords - Studies reveal that 98% of web searchers will search using more than one word. Always optimize your website for two to four keywords.
3. Ranking Your Keywords - Once you have collected your keywords you will want to rank them in an order of most important to least important. The most important words will be used in your on-page content, off-page title and meta tags.
4. Title and Meta Tags - Your title, description and keywords tags must reflect the keywords that are used on the web page. Violation of this rule will be considered as spamming by the search engines.
5. Create a separate website page for each product - Crawler search engines like to identify the featured product or service keywords for each web page. If possible, create a web page for each product or service. By having too many products or services (keywords) on one page, you will confuse the search spider and your customers. When you design a page for specific keywords, this is called theme construction or theming.
6. Use keywords in file names - Use keyword weighted file names. If your web page is about a Polar S720x monitor, use the product name in the file name. This will help the searchbots find your web page about this product.
7. Product Identifications - Always include your product name and model number (i.e. Polar S720x) as a keyword. |
