Successful Ad Copy

Follow these steps:

Step 1. Keep Ad Copy short in length. Your prospect must be able to read your entire ad copy in the right-side-bar for Google, Yahoo and MSN as well as their partners.

Step 2: Keep your message simple. Your prospect will be scanning the ads so use only a few words to present your message.

Step 3: Set a friendly tone. Use words that set a tone that you are a merchant that wants to really help the customers. User terms such as Free Shipping, Free Gift, Satisfaction Guaranteed, Low Price Guaranteed, In-Stock, Same Day Shipping, etc.

Step 4: Don't insert telephone number in ad copy. It is a waste of good ad copy space.

Step 5: Don't be too clever or try to attempt humor. Your audience is too broad.

Step 6: Don't use a sales pitch in ad copy. Most Internet prospects are looking for information.

Step 7: Should you put the price in your ad copy? No. Because you are attracting the discount buyer.

Step 8: Using the word FREE. FREE is the most powerful word in advertising.

Step 9: Ask a real question. In certain markets asking a question will increase CTR.

Step 10: How often should I change my ad copy? If your ad copy is working, don't change it.

Step 11: Don't use your URL in ad copy. It is a waste of valuable copy space.
